Self Employed Realtors – Who Looks After You?  You!

When most of JCAR (Johnston County Association of Realtors) thinks of me and my Tristar Insurance team, you think of Homeowners or Auto Insurance. Very few of you think of us for Supplemental Health or Life Insurance.

Being a self-employed insurance agent for over 20 years, I am very conscious of a few very important facts:

• I don’t have an employer that provides me with a Benefits package
• I am the employer that must provide me with a Benefits package
• If I am going to be looked after, I have to do it.

When it comes to a benefits package, what do you think? What is the first things that come to mind?:

• Health Insurance
• Dental/Vision Insurance
• Long-Term / Short-Term Disability Insurance
• Retirement Planning
• Accident/Critical Illness Coverage

Many self-employed JCAR Realtors don’t think about these types of programs as a benefit plan for themselves.  Sadly, many don’t even have the basics covered because they don’t know where to start. The best place to start is with your most pressing need or your most exposed requirement.

Health Insurance can be a large expense for all of us, especially if you don’t have a group plan that has a portion paid by your employer. But fortunately, there are health insurance plans that are available that can meet your basic needs and be affordable at the same time.  That is where I come in.

What would happen if you don’t have a Benefits package in place if you?:

Fixed Benefit

Get Sick with a critical illness?

You get seriously injured in an accident?

 Are no longer able work and your income comes to a sudden halt?

What about that unexpected MRI or CAT Scan?

A Life Flight can cost 10’s of thousands of dollars.

One thing is certain, we don’t know what the future holds but protecting for it sure makes life more manageable and less stressful.

It’s easy to put together a comprehensive Benefits package for you and to create program that makes financial sense. The cost may be much less than you think it is.

Myth~ Building a Benefits Package is too expensive. How will I ever be able to afford it?

Fact~ Most people overestimate the cost of a Benefits Package by 3X or more. It’s probably more affordable than you think!

Being a JCAR self-employed Realtor puts you in the financial driver’s seat and having a tailored benefits package will make your journey much more enjoyable.
